Telepsychiatry is a way of using technology to connect clients with an experienced licensed doctor or nurse practitioner. The provider can assist with assessments and diagnosis for eligibility for treatment services and with medication management. The provider will be able to prescribe appropriate medications for the client’s diagnosis, order appropriate lab work, and monitor the client’s progress on the medications.
